Hello! My name is Dan and I am a 20 year old visual artist based in Rotterdam, studying animation at WdKA, originally Moldovan and raised in Greece. I specialise in filmmaking, visual storytelling, and 2D animation. I am passionate about creating reflective and thought-provoking, layered narratives, often with surreal and symbolic elements to them. My work aims to bridge the gap between personal lived experiences and broader societal dynamics, indicating how the two affect each other. I always look for new and interesting ways that a story can be told from scene to scene and carefully consider the world around it. 

My love for animation is evident from my early years when I constantly used to draw my favourite sports players in various action poses. This passion for capturing motion has only increased over the years as I continue to study the human body and its dynamic capabilities. Combining my love for drawing with my passion for storytelling has led me towards animation and the endless possibilities it provides as a medium. 

When it comes to work dynamics, I enjoy being part of a group and putting my creativity to use. I am interested in ideas from all kinds of perspectives and seek to use clear communication and feedback to better each concept or artwork of mine.
